Hi, I’m Ladi designer based in Denmark with over 12 years of experience helping brands grow their digital and physical presence.

I enjoy the challenge of taking projects from 0 to 100, drawing on my experience in fast-paced startups where adaptability and continuous learning are key.

Work Experience

Senior Visual Designer

Joined Docker as a Senior Designer through the acquisition of AtomicJar. Led design efforts for Testcontainers and Testcontainers Cloud post-acquisition, focusing on brand integration into Docker’s ecosystem.

  • The main challenge was aligning Testcontainers—a standalone brand—into Docker’s design ecosystem and suite of products while preserving its identity and open source roots.

  • Achieved this through refined color schemes, logo updates, typography adjustments, and new design assets, and testing how the positioning resonated during events and conferences.

Worked with my visual design team colleagues to address a large-scale design debt cleanup initiative.

  • Conducted regular audits of our brand touchpoints to identify inconsistencies and systematically documenting the issues in Jira tickets. We held weekly reviews to prioritize and distribute Jira tickets among the team.

  • Revamped existing web pages and developed new ones for the marketing site to improve the user experience, apply the latest brand guidelines, and focus on standardized and reusable components.

  • Collaborated on developing a new design system for Docker’s website together with the lead designer on the project and the web team.

Head of Design

As Head of Design at AtomicJar I was the first design-hire reporting to the CEO. Led a small design team managing a full-time web designer and two contractors. Built AtomicJar’s design foundations from the ground up.

  • Redesigned AtomicJar and Testcontainers logos, creating a cohesive visual identity while preserving key elements to maintain Testcontainers' brand recognition among its user community.

  • Developed the brand identity for Testcontainers Cloud, the company’s first commercial product, and oversaw design deliverables for its beta and GA product launches.

  • Created brand guidelines and design templates, streamlining company-wide accessibility and request management processes.

  • Designed and launched AtomicJar’s website, supporting recruitment efforts and brand visibility.

  • Created the first visual touchpoint of the Testcontainers Cloud product by designing its onboarding experience.

Collaborated cross-functionally in a fully remote team spanning EU and US time zones, working closely with marketing, operations, product, engineering, developer relations, and people & culture.

Coming from a graphic design background, I educated myself on product design to better support my team. To provide more helpful feedback and contribute hands-on in iterations and crit sessions for the onboarding experience, web app design and design system.

Lead Designer & Artist

Joined a group of former colleagues who established Plepic Games (Estonia) to develop Lunar Base, our first-ever card game and to launch it on Kickstarter. As a team with no prior experience in the board game industry, we had to learn on the job—navigating game design, funding, print production, and distribution challenges.

I came on as both designer and artist to create all the visual assets for Lunar Base: game cards, rule book, box design, logo, website, social media images, and Kickstarter page. As a passion project, Lunar Base allowed me to expand my role and develop new skills. Setting up a project management system, developing a marketing plan, copywriting, educating myself about crowdfunding best practices, building a community through social media and outreach, contributing to game testing and feedback, product photography, and video script writing.

  • Raised $64,000 through Kickstarter with backing from over 2,000 supporters

  • Hit our minimum funding goal within 2 hours of launch, ultimately surpassing it by 4606%

  • 20% conversion rate from project followers to paying backers

  • Completed print production and fulfillment for 2,000+ Kickstarter backers in autumn 2021

Senior Graphic Designer / Graphic Designer

Started as a Graphic Designer at ZeroTurnaround, supporting the Creative Manager in a two-person in-house design team. Took on increasing responsibility for design projects to support the company’s startup growth.

Was promoted to Senior Graphic Designer and in that role I defined the visual design of the company across the marketing of its software products, RebelLabs think tank, vJUG (virtual Java user group), and the annual GeekOut conference.

  • I was part of the in-house creative team reporting to the Head of Design. Helped scale the team from 2 to 7 members (including a junior designer, UX researcher, and product designers) by assisting in the hiring and interview process.

  • Led internal teams of 2-3 designers on branding and marketing projects, while overseeing external contractors, printers, and vendors.

  • Acted as the primary visual design lead for marketing, HR, developer relations, events, sales, and product teams. Project managing design requests across four global offices and multiple time zones.

  • Mentored a junior graphic designer, delegating tasks to increase our team capacity. Balanced high-priority and quick-turnaround tasks (hours/days) and long-term projects spanning several months.
